Helsinki Basketball Festival brings a celebration of basketball to Helsinki
Helsinki Basketball Festival brings junior basketball players together for an action-packed tournament weekend in springtime Helsinki. At the heart of the event is a junior basketball tournament, but true to its name, the festival offers much more: memorable experiences, a sense of community and activities for players, coaches and team staff alike.
The event is organised by Helsingin NMKY (Helsinki YMCA), which has a long tradition of organising junior basketball tournaments. One of the organisation’s best-known events is the YMCA Cup, which was Finland’s largest junior basketball tournament from the 1970s to the 1990s.
HBF games are played at high-quality sports venues across Helsinki.
The next Helsinki Basketball Festival will take place on 14–16 May 2027. Registration opens on 30 September 2026 – welcome to Helsinki for an unforgettable weekend of basketball!
