Tournament Fee
The tournament fee consists of a mandatory team fee for all teams and the game passes selected by the team (either A or B passes).
The A pass includes game eligibility, school accommodation, breakfast and evening snacks at the school, as well as lunch (Sat and Sun) and dinner (Sat).
The B pass includes game eligibility.
All players must have one of the two game passes.
All coaches, team managers, or guardians staying with the team must have a coach/guardian A pass. Due to limited accommodation capacity, a maximum of 4 coaches and/or guardians can stay with the team.
If the team’s coach is not staying or eating, they do not need to purchase a game pass.
The Unified and 2016-2017 categories do not require game passes; the teams only pay the team fee. If these teams need accommodation, please contact us via email at helsinkibasketballfestival@hnmky.fi.
Prices for 2025
The team fee is €150 (mandatory for all teams) and must be paid within two weeks (14 days) of registration. If the team fee is not paid by the due date, the team will be moved to the last reserve spot in their category.
For the 2016-born age groups, the team fee is €250 and includes game eligibility for all players. The tournament for the 2016-born age groups is two days (Sat-Sun).
For the 2017-born age groups, the team fee is €85 and includes game eligibility for all players. The tournament for the 2017-born age groups is a one-day event (girls on Saturday, boys on Sunday).
For the Unified category, the team fee is €100. The tournament days will be confirmed based on the number of registrations.
Game Pass
A pass for players: €120 (includes school accommodation)
A pass for coaches and guardians: €70 (includes school accommodation)
The A pass for players/coaches/guardians/team staff:
- Game eligibility (players)
- School accommodation (2 nights, Fri-Sun)
- Breakfast (Sat, Sun)
- Evening snacks (Fri, Sat)
- Three hot meals:
- Lunch (Sat)
- Dinner (Sat)
- Lunch (Sun)
B pass: €60 (no accommodation)
- The B pass includes game eligibility and is for players only. Coaches and guardians do not need a B pass.
Meal Pass € 30 (for teams staying in hotels)
The meal pass includes three meals during the tournament (Saturday lunch and dinner, Sunday lunch). The meal pass is intended for the team’s players, guardians, and coaches.
Team Information Management and Updates
Upon registration, your team will receive a username and password, which you can use to update your team’s information on your team page. Be sure to keep your team’s information up to date; contact information should include the name, email address, and phone number of the team’s contact person.
Before the tournament, all necessary player information must be updated in the system. At the request of the fire authorities, the details (without player numbers) of players staying in schools must be submitted well in advance of the tournament. The exact deadline will be announced later.
Payment
The team fee must be paid within two weeks of registration via the payment link. Game passes and other fees must be paid once the team contact person has confirmed the number of players in the results service system. Detailed instructions will be sent to the email address provided during registration.
The final registration date is April 2, 2025. The due date for game pass payments is Wednesday, April 16, 2025.
NOTE: If the game pass payments are not made by the due date of April 16, 2025, the team will be automatically moved to the last reserve spot in the age group.
Cancellation and Refund Policy
Team Fees: Team fees are non-refundable for cancellations made after February 1, 2025.
Game Pass Fees: For cancellations made by April 9, 2025, game pass fees will be fully refunded.
For cancellations made on or after April 10, 2025, refunds will only be given in cases of illness, as follows:
- A Pass: €70 each
- B Pass: Full amount refunded
- Meal Pass: €10 each
- Coach/Guardian Pass: €30 each
Required information for a refund:
- The category to which the refund applied
- Type of game pass (A, B, coach/guardian, meal)
- Team's bank account number and account holder's name
Refunds will only be issued to the team’s account upon request by the team's contact person.
If the tournament is canceled by the organizer or if the category you registered for is not held, the paid team and pass fees will be fully refunded.
If a team has to withdraw from the tournament, refunds will be handled on a case-by-case basis.
